Graphics Design Internship

Modeling International Magazine is unlike any other online publication. We are the only, community built, magazine strictly for the modeling and fashion industry. Our mission is to provide up and coming Models, Photographers, Makeup Artists and other industry professionals the tools they need to become successful in this tough industry.

What makes us unique, is our community. Our members directly contribute to our worldwide publication. They upload their own photos, write their own articles and empower our vast reader base with their real world experience and expertise.

As a Graphic Designer, you will be required to perform many different duties including:

  • Magazine Layout and Design
  • Graphics
  • Advanced Photo Editing
  • Graphical User Interface Design
  • Marketing Materials
  • Sales

Virtual interns can be located anywhere in the world and will work remotely on a variety of projects. The schedule is very flexible, and we can adjust your workload according to how much time you can commit. Modeling International staff will assist and monitor virtual intern progress and performance.

This unpaid Virtual Internship is conducted solely online, and can be completed at the convenience of the intern (within a specific time frame). Communication with our staff typically occurs via e-mail, instant messenger, Internet phone calls and scheduled chats.

We are looking in particular for someone interested in developing skills in marketing, sales, public relations, business administration, management, graphic design, social psychology and information technology. Important qualifications include: solid communication skills, both verbal and written; some knowledge of Internet research via search engines will be very helpful; interest in fashion, media, entertainment, models, actors, photography; ability to work independently; knowledge of (or willingness to learn about) online communities, in particular message boards/forums; organization skills; and, hopefully, a sense of humor, curiosity and enthusiasm!

More Details:

The Virtual Modeling International Internship Program is designed on a per-project basis, based on the capabilities of each intern and the immediate needs of Modeling International. All of our internships begin as un-paid positions, unless the intern acquires advertisements for our or other publications under us. Opportunities for full time "commission based" paid positions are available based on the below breakdown.

The sales commission breakdowns are as follows:

  • 15% 1-15 ads
  • 20% 16-30 ads
  • 30% 30+ ads

All leads and or advertisements must come through Modeling International, LLC and commissions will be paid to the intern, once tear sheet is rendered to client.

We decide whether to offer the intern a "commission" based paid position after he / she has proven themselves to us over the course of several weeks. In some cases much sooner, but presently this internship is for college credits strictly. Internship is without pay, but we do offer a recommendation letter with the company's letterhead upon "successful" completion. Some of the Virtual Intern Duties Include the below (Not all interns will perform all the duties below. Duties are based on skill level and location of intern:

  • Recruit Models and Talent by posting ads on a variety of websites
  • Internet Researching to find new clients and job opportunities for models and talent
  • Information Gathering and Data Entry
  • Writing and Posting job notices and casting calls
  • Posting bulletins, blogs, forums, message boards, etc...
  • Assist with bookings, recruiting, marketing/pr, etc...
  • Brainstorming for different marketing ideas for agency based upon certain subjects
  • Creating, Managing and Executing various Marketing Projects
  • May "possibly" work as a field manager by managing talent at certain jobs/events, street teams, etc... (Depends on your location)
  • Run errands such as: distributing kits to promotional models on a job
  • Depending on your location, may need to attend model searches, competitions, etc...
  • Special projects as assigned by management
  • Make (local) phone calls to talent to follow-up on jobs, auditions, paperwork, etc...
  • Contact/follow-up with business contacts/clients via email and/or phone

  • Reference for CV / Resume: Upon "SUCCESSFUL" completion, we will be a reference for intern and will provide a letter of recommendation.
  • Academic Credit: If academic credit will be received for the internship, the terms may be dictated by the intern's academic advisor's specifications (length of time, number of hours per week, etc.).
  • No Relocation Required: The Virtual Internship is completely online, so it is never necessary for our interns to come to our main office in the United States.
